But what about an impression of a title and not a person; i.e., you haven't met that person yet (because if I could meet someone I would certainly make them forget any titles!) and you're creating a first impression in your mind about the person through their title? Never really thought about it, but you are correct - assistant seems almost like the term secretary, doesn't it. I think if you carry yourself as a business owner and act accordingly, people will respond to that - not necessarily the titles we use.
